MiG-29 fighters sent by Slovakia protect the skies of Kharkiv.

APA reports that Yelena Kondratyuk, deputy speaker of the Verkhovna Rada (parliament) of Ukraine, said this during her speech in the Slovak parliament.

The deputy speaker noted that the MiG-29 fighter jets sent from Slovakia as part of the military aid to Ukraine are already being used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces: "Four MiG-29 fighters delivered to Kyiv are already protecting the skies of Kharkiv."

Kondratyuk also thanked the leadership of Slovakia for the assistance provided to the people and state of Ukraine.

It should be noted that four of the 13 combat aircraft promised by the Slovak government were handed over to Ukraine last week.

Slovak Defense Minister Yaroslav Nad promised that the rest of the planes will reach Ukraine very soon.
