The Cuban Ministry of the Interior reported that the United States Coast Guard (USCG) returned 29 irregular migrants (27 men and two women) to Cuba through the Port of Orozco, in Bahía Honda, Artemisa, on Tuesday March 28.
The migrants had participated in four illegal departures from the country by sea and were later intercepted.
The majority reside in Matanzas.
This is operation 30 of the Coast Guard Service, with 2,101 Cubans returned in 2023, and with which there are 50 from countries in the region and a total of 2,923 people.
The Minint pointed out that "Cuba remains firm in its commitment to regular, safe and orderly migration and reiterates the danger and life-threatening conditions that illegal departures from the country by sea represent."
