On Wednesday, March 29, Ukraine received a grant from the United States in the amount of 1 billion 253 million US dollars.

The funds have already reached the state budget.

This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

"Grant financing will be aimed at providing partial reimbursement of State Budget expenditures, in particular, for pension payments, support for certain state social assistance programs (aid for IDPs), ensuring the payment of wages for employees of state agencies, employees of the State Emergency Service and employees of higher education institutions," the message says.

Funds were provided to Ukraine with the help of the World Bank's Trust Fund as part of the fourth additional financing of the project "Supporting public expenditures to ensure sustainable public administration in Ukraine" (PEACE).

Since the start of the full-scale war, the United States has allocated $15.5 billion in grants to Ukraine.

Earlier we reported that Canada will provide Ukraine with a loan in the amount of more than 1.5 billion dollars.
