National Chengchi University and Charles University in the Czech Republic signed a "Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of a Supply Chain Resilience Teaching and Research Center". Implementation begins in autumn.

The Czech House of Representatives Speaker Adamova's delegation arrived in Taiwan on the 25th, and held a cooperation memorandum signing ceremony and press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 29th.

Represented by Li Caiyan, president of National Chengchi University, and Jan Polák, vice president of Charles University, signed the memorandum of cooperation. After the meeting, the two also expressed their expectation for future exchanges.

The Zhada delegation will also go to Zhengda University tomorrow to further discuss the content of cooperation, and it is planned to start implementing this plan this fall.

National Chengchi University stated that for this cooperation plan, National Chengchi University will send teachers to the project center of Chad University to serve as deputy directors and teach in English.

Among the top national universities in China, only National Chengchi University and Yangming Jiaotong University have research centers related to supply chains. This project will give full play to the advantages of National Chengchi University.

The 2 schools will make contributions in the field of academic research on issues such as the impact of international geopolitics on the semiconductor industry, the sustainable development of the semiconductor industry, and increasing the resilience of the semiconductor supply chain.

National Chengchi University pointed out that Charles University is a top research university in Europe, the highest institution in the Czech Republic, and the oldest university in Central and Eastern Europe.

Its academic reputation is well-known internationally. In 2023, the university ranking QS is 288, and THE is 501-600. There are now 17 colleges with more than 50,000 students, and its alumni are outstanding in the fields of politics, literature, and medicine.

Zha University is the first sister school of National Chengchi University in the Czech Republic, and there have been several cooperation experiences in the follow-up. Coupled with the signing of this memorandum, the influence is far-reaching.
