According to the authorities, the gas reserves in the Black Sea shelf are about 540 billion cubic meters. The largest is the deposit near Sakaria (over 400 billion cubic meters).

Initially, it is planned to produce about 10 million cubic meters of gas per day from this field, or 3.4 to 4 billion cubic meters per year.

By 2028, daily production should reach 40 million cubic meters (15 billion cubic meters per year).

Black Sea gas was expected to start flowing to consumers in Turkey in March.

Due to the devastating earthquakes of February 6, the authorities had to revise these plans, notes BTA.
