Russian mercenaries from the "Wagner" PMC are no longer able to independently provide offensive actions in the Bakhmut area, so they are forced to ask for help from regular troops.

Serhiy Cherevaty, the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on the air

of the telethon

.

Cherevaty said that Russian troops have been trying to capture Bakhmut for 9 months, but Ukrainian defenders were able to stabilize the front.

He explained that currently the main offensive force of the Russian Federation remains the "Wagnerians".

"But due to the daily losses of under a hundred, and sometimes over two hundred killed, they lack personnel, even these former prisoners. We see that the dynamics are such that they are forced to be reinforced by units of the regular army of the occupier," said Cherevaty .

He stated that the "Wagnerians" were forced to turn to the regular army for help in order to support offensive actions.

"They boasted that they have everything autonomous, but they cannot provide themselves fully to conduct offensive work," he added.

It will be recalled that earlier the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain announced that the fighting in Bakhmut in Donetsk region continues.

The armed forces of Ukraine managed to push the occupiers away from one of the city's supply lines
