Canada will provide Ukraine with new financial assistance in the form of a loan of 2.45 billion Canadian dollars (about 1.7 billion US dollars).

This is stated in the state budget document for this year.

"This is what today's budget invests in: an opportunity for every Canadian to share in the extraordinary opportunities Canada provides and the new era of prosperity we will build together," Canada's Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland said in a tweet.

As you know, the funds for Ukraine will be provided as part of the "Administrative account for Ukraine" of the International Monetary Fund.

Recently, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau emphasized that Ukraine can count on the unwavering support of Canada and the United States during the war with Russia.

He emphasized that Canada will continue to support Ukrainians with everything necessary.
