Argentine President Alberto Fernández will meet with his American counterpart, Joe Biden, this Wednesday at the White House, at 2:45 pm (local time).

According to the press secretary of the Biden Administration, Karine Jean-Pierre, the leaders will address issues such as critical minerals, climate change, space, economic cooperation, inclusion, democracy, human rights and technology.

In addition, the negative effects that the drought has generated in the South American nation will be analyzed.

The Argentine delegation to the meeting is made up of the ministers Sergio Massa (Economy) and Aníbal Fernández (Security); Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero; the Secretary General of the Presidency, Julio Vitobello; the spokesperson for the Presidency, Gabriela Cerruti; the chiefs of Cabinet of Foreign Ministry, Luciana Tito, and Economy, Leonardo Madcur, and the Argentine ambassador to the United States, Jorge Argüello.

On the US side will be the Secretary of State, Antony Blinken;

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen;

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan;

the Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Hemisphere, Brian Nichols;

the special adviser for Latin America, Juan González;

the person in charge of Argentina and the Southern Cone, Lorenzo Harris;

and the US ambassador to Argentina, Marc Stanley.

Fernández received a document prepared by the Ministry of Economy and the Foreign Ministry with 15 points to be discussed at the meeting.

Some of the most important are the surcharges with the IMF, the trade deficit with the United States and financial issues such as access to financing with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank (WB) and the IMF.

Last year, Biden and Fernández met at the G7 Summit and the Summit of the Americas.

After this Wednesday's meeting, a statement will be made to the press.

Subsequently, the delegations will meet.
