Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has said that Russians have allegedly begun to live longer.

According to him, in 2022 life expectancy in the Russian Federation will increase by 2.7 years to 72.8 years.

He stated this during

a meeting

with members of the Russian government, noting the decrease in mortality among Russians,

Obozrevatel

reports .

"Last year, life expectancy in Russia increased by 2.7 years. Currently, it is 72.8 years. Mortality continues to decrease," Putin said.

He emphasized that the authorities should support the increase in life expectancy of Russians.

"It is fundamentally important to support these trends in the field of demography. This is an integral, most important task for all levels of government," Putin said.

At the same time,

the Russian mass media,

citing Rosstat, report that as of the beginning of February, Russia was dying at a rate of 1.5 thousand people per day, which became a record since 1947.

"According to the results of 2022, the number of the permanent population of the Russian Federation has decreased by another 566,000 people, Rosstat reported," the report says.

For the first time since 2000, Russian statistics recorded a population decline for 5 years in a row.

  • in 2018, the number of permanent residents in the country decreased by 100 thousand people;

  • in 2019 – for 100,000 people;

  • in 2020 - by 500,000 people;

  • in 2021 - by 600,000 people.

"And this is not the end. The "bottom" of the birth rate, established at the end of the 1990s after the post-Soviet economic disaster, will be broken next year if the war in Ukraine continues," state the authors of the material.

It will be recalled that earlier the spokesman of the Russian president-dictator Dmytro Peskov said that the "hybrid war of enemy countries against the Russian Federation" will last a long time.

Moreover,

he called for unity around the Kremlin "Fuhrer" Vladimir Putin

.

Later, the adviser to the head of the President's Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, said that the war that Russia has unleashed against Ukraine can be ended diplomatically only after the

Russian Federation withdraws from all occupied territories of Ukraine, and the power of the aggressor country changes
