I congratulate the government and people of Azerbaijan and Israel on this historic day and on reaching this milestone.

George Dick, the ambassador of this country to Azerbaijan, said this in response to the question of APA's special correspondent sent to Israel.

According to him, Azerbaijan's embassy in Israel for the first time is one of the important turning points in our relations.

"The opening of the embassy will be in line with the deep relations we have established so far. We have established these relations in the strategic, economic, cultural fields and at the government level. The opening of the embassy is the beginning of a new page in our relations. Today, our ministers had fruitful meetings. They defined goals. Our minister Mr. Cohen he also emphasized that he wants to see the number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan from Israel increase. If today this number is 50 thousand, we want it to reach 150 thousand in the coming years," the ambassador said.

The diplomat noted that we also want to form a structured dialogue between our countries on various issues and strategic issues at the ministerial level.

"Next month, in the next two weeks, Mr. Cohen will visit Baku and participate in the meeting of the intergovernmental joint commission together with Minister Jabbarov. Economic cooperation will be discussed at this meeting. Today I want to inform you that one of the documents to be signed is related to finance, that 200 million dollars is Israel. investment will come to Azerbaijan. All this shows that we are celebrating the beginning, not the end, of our relations. We face common challenges and threats, some of which are related to the security field. I am very proud to participate in this historic day and I believe that we will achieve joint success in the future we will," said George Dick.
