[Reporter Liu Yuqing/Penghu Report] Baisha Chikan is a fishing satellite port in Penghu, controlling the fishery economy in the North Sea. Huang Mingnan, the former village head, originally operated an ice factory, but the operation was closed due to unbearable long-term losses. The fishermen in the North Sea had to go to Magong to add ice. It takes time, and sometimes there is no ice to add. It is recently reported that the new ice plant is about to be completed and opened, hoping to benefit the fishermen in the North Sea.

Currently, adding ice to fishing boats is the main way to keep fish fresh. In addition to building an ice factory in Magong, the Penghu County Government also plans to build new ice factories in Waigan, Xiyu, and Qimei Outlying Islands. However, there is no ice factory in Baisha Chikan Satellite Fishing Port. , causing inconvenience to fishermen in Beihai, Zhang Ruizhen, a Chikan villager who recently runs Seafood Liyiyi Frozen Ice Co., Ltd., invested in the construction of a new ice factory. After completion, it will produce 150 pieces of ice per day, each priced at 200 yuan.

Wei Ruihong, a member of the Baisha Constituency District, who was born in Chikan, said that there is currently no private ice factory in Baisha, so it is a headache for fishermen, but in the future, the ice factory in Zhangrui Town will start operation when the fishing season comes However, if ice cubes can be supplied quantitatively every day, it will not only help local fishermen and friends, but even fishermen working in the nearby sea will benefit endlessly.

At present, Beihai fishermen have to spend money to hire truck drivers to drive to the Magong Ice Factory and wait in line to buy ice cubes, which increases the cost of buying ice, and it is also a race against time, because the ice transported from Magong to Chikan Fishing Port has to catch up with the fishing boats. Arriving before departure, if you can buy ice in the nearest Chikan, it can benefit the fishermen in the North Sea and drive the economic development of the fishing village.

The Chikan Fishing Port in Baisha Township, which lacks an ice factory, has begun trial production of an ice factory invested by the private sector.
