National Ballet of Cuba will dedicate performance of "The magic of dance" to the Centenary of Haydee Santamaría.

The National Ballet of Cuba, under the direction of Viengsay Valdés, informed that

it will continue with its presentations in the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater, during the month of April.

Through a press release published on the institutional Facebook profile, the company announced that the performances will take place on April 1, 2 and 6 to 9, and tickets will be on sale at the theater's own box office. from this Tuesday to Sunday, from 1:00 to 6:00 pm

The text mentioned that

the program brings together works such as the second act of Swan Lake, as well as Three Preludes, Celeste and The Shape of Red, in addition to the fact that on Sunday the 9th there will be a gala for the centenary of the Cuban scientist Antonio Núñez Jiménez, with a long career linked to the National Ballet.

Regarding the staging, he explained that Three Preludes is one of the most recognized works by British choreographer Ben Stevenson, with music by Serguei Rachmaninov;

Celeste is a creation by Belgian-Colombian choreographer Annabelle López Ochoa, with music by Piotr Ilich Chakovski, and La forma del rojo is a choreography by Ely Regina Hernández with music by Ezio Bosso.

The creations will be led by the first dancers Viengsay Valdés, Anette Delgado, Sadaise Arencibia, Grettel Morejón, Dani Hernández and Yankiel Vázquez, and prominent figures from the company, such as Chavela Riera, Daniela Gómez, Darío Hernández, María Luisa Márquez, Yasiel Hodelin, Ányelo Montero and Marcel Gutiérrez, among others.
