Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will deliver his annual address to the people and parliament of Belarus on March 31, in which he will talk about the country's development strategy in the immediate future.

This was announced today to journalists by the head of the president's office Igor Sergeenko, BelTA agency reported, quoted by BTA.

"Another significant, fundamental event awaits us - the annual address of the president to the Belarusian people and parliament. It will take place literally this week - on March 31, this Friday," Sergeenko said, adding: "I would like to note once again that this event is landmark and fundamental".

According to Sergeenko, the president in his address will highlight "the strategy for the development of Belarus in the immediate future in the conditions of a dynamically changing geopolitical environment".

He noted that this will be an answer to the questions that concern Belarusians.

Sergeenko pointed out that the event will take place in its traditional format for recent years - in a solemn setting in the Palace of the Republic.

Deputies of the House of Representatives, members of the Council of the Republic, ministers, officials, representatives of business and civil society will take part in it.

"We understand that this address is primarily an address to the Belarusian people, but, naturally, the audience will be much wider," Sergeenko said.
