Vancouver:

An Indian-origin man attacked a Canadian citizen with a knife outside a Starbucks cafe in Vancouver, Canada.

A seriously injured 37-year-old Canadian citizen was taken to the hospital by the police.

According to the report, he died during treatment.

'Global News' gave this information quoting the local police.

According to reports, the accused Inderdeep Singh Gosal (32) was arrested on the spot.

According to the police, the accused stabbed 37-year-old Paul Stanley Schmidt outside the cafe in Granville at around 5:40 pm on Sunday.

He was with his wife and daughter in the cafe at the time of the attack.

The mother of the deceased Paul Stanley Schmidt told police, "Paul lived for his wife and his daughter...that was his whole life." 

Vancouver police spokesman Sergeant Steve Addison said police are appealing for more witnesses and video to determine what led to the attack.

At present the accused is being interrogated.
