Baboon remains undergo tomography examination.

[Reporter Yang Yuanting/Taipei Report] The Taoyuan baboon escaped for 18 days. After sunset on the 27th, he died of a shotgun wound. The Forest Service Bureau coordinated with the Taoyuan City Government to transport the baboon’s body back from the Leofoo Village Zoo, and today (28 Day) In the morning, he was sent to the Taipei Municipal Zoo for inspection. The inspection has been completed. In the afternoon, he will be sent to the Animal Health Center of the Council of Agriculture for an autopsy and pathological analysis to clarify the cause of death.

After the baboon was shot dead, the remains were sent to the Taipei Zoo for inspection in the morning, and tomography and X-ray inspections were performed respectively. After the inspection, the Forestry Bureau stated that the remains of the baboon would be sent to the animal health center for dissection at 1 p.m. Pathological analysis will be done to identify the cause of death of the baboon, and the relevant result report is expected to be released in a week.
