"Putin will not come to Armenia and will not be arrested.

Putin should stay in his country."

APA reports with reference to Factor.am that Gagik Melkonyan, a member of the ruling "Citizens' Agreement" faction of the Armenian Parliament, said this while referring to the possibility of the Russian President's arrest during his visit to Yerevan against the backdrop of Armenia's recognition of the Roman status.

"As far as we are concerned, if we have approved this agreement, then we must fulfill our obligation.

Let Russia solve its problems with Ukraine," he said.

Gagik Melkonyan, former deputy defense minister of Armenia, said that he did not want Putin to come to Yerevan.

"If we have signed this document, it is better not to come to Armenia.

If Putin comes to Yerevan, we will have to arrest him, but he knows this very well and that's why he won't want to come," the pro-government deputy said.
