In Australia, a woman noticed four oriental mouse spiders in her pool, which have toxic venom that can be dangerous to humans.

This is reported by the Mirror.

Linda Knight, who lives on the north coast of New South Wales, spotted four eastern mouse spiders in her pool after heavy rain.

Some mouse spiders have toxic venom that can be dangerous to humans, although only a few cases of serious illness have been reported.

After spotting the spiders, Knight wrote on Facebook: "Please always check your pools before jumping in, especially after it's rained. After the last few days of rain, we've had 4 freaking cases."

The woman also reported that

she regularly spots oriental mouse spiders in her pool

and usually pulls them out with a leaf scoop.

"They've been gone for a long time, but all the rain we've had lately has obviously resurrected them," Knight added.

As explained in the Australian Museum,

mouse spiders are often confused with watering can spiders

.

The main differences between these two species are that funnel-shaped spiders have very long spinnerets - two appendages at the end of the abdomen, while males have a spur on the second leg.

At the same time, the abdomen of mouse-like spiders can be uniformly black or dark blue, or black with a light gray or white spot on top.

The head of this spider is very broad, shiny and black, sometimes with bright red or orange-red jaws and eye area.

Females are larger, stockier than males.

Mouse spiders are found over most of mainland Australia, usually from late summer to April-May.

They often end up in country pools.

Due to the potential toxicity of spiders, in the event of a bite, first aid should be given to a person.

It will be recalled that a woman was bitten by a deadly blue-ringed octopus on a popular beach in Sydney.
