Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President, commented on the statement of the dictator Putin about the placement of nuclear weapons in Belarus and predicted how it will affect Russia's war against Ukraine.

NV informs about it.

"This (the deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus. - Ed.) makes almost no sense from the point of view of what is happening on the battlefield, and in terms of what effect it will have on the course of military events as such," Podolyak believes.

In his opinion, from a technical point of view, it does not matter where exactly the nuclear weapons are located - in Belarus or in Russia.

Podoliak explained that with such statements, Putin is trying

to raise the stakes

and force other states to engage in dialogue on Russia's terms.

At the same time, the dictator deliberately violates international documents on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.

"This actually happened after a conversation with the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, in which the impossibility of transferring nuclear weapons from one sovereign territory to another sovereign territory, in this case meaning from Russia to Belarus, was recorded," the adviser to the head of the OP reminded.

He warned that after placing nuclear weapons on its territory, Belarus "will receive a significant

increase in the price of this war

for itself, in particular, and a significant increase in the number and quality of sanctions."

Podolyak also said that

"Lukashenka's individuality does not exist at all"

, because the military vertical in Belarus is not controlled by him, but by the Kremlin.

"And this position, if Russia really does not just imitate the transportation of nuclear weapons to Belarus, but tries to arrange it, then it will mean that Lukashenka can be deleted from the list of people who should be remembered," he concluded.

It will be recalled that on March 24, dictator Putin announced that Russia would place tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.

According to military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko, Russian nuclear weapons may end up not only in Belarus, but also in Syria.

The GUR said that Ukrainian intelligence, together with international colleagues, is monitoring the possible placement of nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus.

TSN.ua has collected details and experts' opinions on what the consequences of Putin's statement will be.
