Military expert Oleg Zhdanov explained why roadblocks are being installed and updated in the Zhytomyr region, where there are no active hostilities.

He emphasized that this is a standard procedure and will continue until the end of the war.

He said this on his YouTube channel.

"Upgrading checkpoints in Zhytomyr Region is a daily job. Time is merciless to everything and nothing lasts forever. And that's why checkpoints need to be updated, which is done by the Terrodefense Forces, the National Guard and the military. This is maintenance. Some of these posts are updated, some are cleaned. This will continue until the end of the war and will depend on how this war is resolved. If there is a frozen conflict, the checkpoints will remain for a long time. If there is a defeat of the occupying army, they will be dismantled. And in some places, stationary ones will be built," Zhdanov explained.

It will be recalled that expert Oleksandr Kovalenko predicts that the Russian invaders may try to carry out a counteroffensive on the Kreminna-Lyman-Svatove-Kupyansk line, but it will not be successful.
