The White House sees no indication that Russian President Vladimir Putin intends to deploy tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus.

APA reports with reference to CNN that John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications of the US National Security Council, said this.

He also noted that if this happens, the United States will monitor the possible movement of nuclear weapons.

"We'll just have to watch and see where it goes," Kirby said.

It should be recalled that on March 25, Putin spread the news that Moscow and Minsk had reached an agreement on the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus.

A day after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his intention to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, the North Atlantic Alliance criticized Russia for its dangerous and irresponsible nuclear rhetoric.
