Baghpat:

At least 21 people, including children, fell ill after eating khichdi in Bhandara in the district.

An administrative officer gave this information.

On information, the District Magistrate (DM) and Superintendent of Police (SP) of Baghpat along with the senior officials reached the district hospital, where the victims have been admitted.

Baghpat District Magistrate (DM) Rajkamal Yadav said that a case of consumption of poisonous food has come to light in an event on Sunday evening in Faizpur Ninana of Baghpat police station area.

He said that 21 people, including a child who fell ill after eating khichdi in Bhandara, have been admitted to the hospital, whose condition is stable.

All these people had complained of vomiting and diarrhoea.

He told that a team of doctors is engaged for the treatment of the victims and specially pediatricians are treating the children.
