The Arbitration Court of the Paris International Chamber of Commerce has ruled in favor of Iraq in the case against Turkey, which disputes the export of oil from Kurdistan.

According to information provided by "APA-Economics" with reference to "Interfax", the final decision was made on March 23.

Iraq accuses Turkey of violating the provisions of the 1973 agreement.

According to the agreement, the Turkish government must follow the instructions of the Iraqi side regarding the transportation of the oil exported from Iraq to all storage and processing centers and to the end users.

The Iraqi Oil Ministry reminds that the sale of Iraqi raw materials is carried out through SOMO, the only marketing company authorized to manage export operations through the Turkish port of Ceyhan.

After the court decision, the relevant agency intends to discuss the mechanisms of oil export through Ceyhan with the relevant institutions of Kurdistan and the Turkish side to ensure continuous supply of raw materials and fulfill SOMO obligations to international companies.

Oil exports from northern Iraq were suspended on March 25 following the decision of the international arbitration court.
