Tsai Ing-wen said that in 2020, under repeated pressure from China, Vedziz, the President of the Czech Senate, insisted on leading a delegation to visit Taiwan to carry out cross-field cooperation for the two sides. Support is also an important milestone in the progress of Taiwan-Czech relations.

Tsai Ing-wen expressed that she welcomes the delegation led by the speaker of the House of Representatives, Adamova, to visit Taiwan. The delegation includes 160 members of Congress from across parties, officials from different ministries and commissions, and representatives from all walks of life. It is the largest since Taiwan and the Czech Republic established offices. In August 2020, despite repeated pressure from China, Senate Chairman Wade Qi still insisted on leading a delegation to carry out cross-field cooperation for the bilateral relationship.
