The other day, nine years after the murder, the court sentenced both accused - Ash and Ronnie.

They were sentenced to life imprisonment.

A fine of R72,000 was also imposed based on the nephew's guilty plea and further evidence.

During the investigation, it became known that Ashu knew where the jewels and money were kept in the house and planned the robbery.

He stabbed the dog nine times and Neelam 14 times.

It is also reported that the parrot died six months after the incident.
