The heads of Israel's leading opposition parties have responded to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposal for a broad dialogue on the controversial issue of judicial reforms.

APA reports that Yair Lapid, leader of the largest opposition party Yesh Atid and leader of the parliamentary opposition, said that he is ready to hold a dialogue through the mediation of President Itzak Herzog.

He stressed that the head of state should "determine the dialogue mechanism and act as a fair mediator" that creates trust on both sides.

In turn, the leader of the big opposition bloc, former defense minister Benny Gantz said he was ready for dialogue.
