[Reporter Yang Yuanting/Taipei Report] The baboons fled for 18 days in Taoyuan. The Taoyuan City Government set up a baboon catching war room and was arrested today (27th). It must be the Taipei Municipal Zoo, but the Taoyuan City Government stated that there was a Leofoo Village veterinarian at the scene of the capture of the baboon, so the Leofoo Village took it away directly, and the baboon was already on its way to the Leofoo Village Zoo.

After many days of hunting, the escaped baboons were finally arrested today. Zheng Yijuan, head of the animal conservation team of the Forestry Bureau, said that if the baboons were captured after communicating with the Taoyuan City Government last Saturday, they would be sent to the Taipei Zoo for shelter. After the baboons were caught today, The Taoyuan City Government has a Leofoo Village Zoo veterinarian on site, so the baboons are already on their way to the Leofoo Village Zoo.

As for the baboon, which was preliminarily determined to be an East African baboon, Zheng Yijuan said that it was originally planned to be sent to the Taipei Municipal Zoo because the baboon would need to be tested for appearance and DNA kinship in the future, but now the baboon has been sent to Leofoo Village. Good SOP, the Forestry Bureau continues to actively communicate with the Taoshi government.
