Since the Shimen Reservoir will cooperate with the policy to promote the implementation of relevant public construction plans in the park in the next 10 years, the operator evaluates that it will seriously impact the tourist population in the park, and there is an unacceptable risk. After negotiating with the Tourism Bureau, it is agreed to terminate Shimen Park tourism by the end of March this year. The business will be taken over by the North Water Bureau from April 1. The electronic toll collection system established by the manufacturer will be suspended and replaced by the North Water Bureau's manual toll collection. Whether to adopt electronic toll collection in the future will be reviewed and considered with reference to opinions from all walks of life.

The billing period of the Shimen Reservoir Park is from 8 am to 6 pm every day, standard bus 400 yuan, passenger car 120 yuan, locomotive 50 yuan; Residents of other districts, as well as Guanxi Township, Jianshi Township, and Wufeng Township in Hsinchu County, as well as Datong Township in Yilan County, can enter the park for free throughout the year by applying once a year.

Guo Yaocheng, deputy director of the Beishui Bureau, said that although the operation of the reservoir sightseeing business has been withdrawn, the original relationship with the Tourism Bureau to promote tourism remains unchanged, and will continue to jointly invest resources in addressing issues such as traffic jams in the park, facility renewal, catering, and multi-sightseeing and recreational activities. Review and improve with professional manpower.

At this stage, the temporary change back to manual toll collection will strengthen the control of the total number of vehicles in the park. At the same time, those who are exempt from vehicle fees at the original discount can enter and leave the park with their identity documents, and those who have already purchased tickets do not need to pay the fee when they enter the park on the same day.

Shimen Reservoir has a toll machine for visitors to pay for the current situation, but starting from April 1, it will be changed back to manual toll.
