Russia supplies Iran with cyber weapons, including digital surveillance.

In exchange for this, the occupiers receive relatively cheap drones, which they use to attack the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine.

The Wall Street Journal writes about it.

"The Russian authorities have decided that the benefits of deepening military relations with Iran outweigh any disadvantages," the article says, citing high-ranking US officials.

According to the interlocutors of the publication, this is another level of the developing military alliance, which the US sees as a threat.

The possibility of cooperation in the field of cyber warfare emerged after Iran sold drones to Russia, agreed to provide the Kremlin with short-range missiles and supplied tank and artillery shells.

Tehran is seeking cyber assistance, while also asking for dozens of Russian attack helicopters and jet fighters, as well as help with its long-range missile program.

According to the publication, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has provided Iran with communication and surveillance equipment, as well as eavesdropping devices, modern cameras and lie detectors.

Moscow has likely already shared more advanced software with Iran that would allow it to hack the phones of dissidents and opponents of the regime.

According to American officials, the main supplier of cyber services to Iran is the Russian company "Protey", which has contracts with the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country.

"Given Russia's strong capabilities, any transfer of knowledge will improve Iran's cyber capabilities," said Annie Fixler, a cyber policy analyst at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a Washington think tank.

Earlier it became known that Russia began to receive regular deliveries of "shaheeds".

It will be recalled that the president of the American University in Kyiv and adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny Dan Rice told whether Iran will send ballistic missiles to Russia.
