On the eve of Nowruz holiday and on holiday days, all bus stations and bus stations of the republic operated in enhanced working mode from March 15 to 27, according to the instructions of the Azerbaijan Surface Transport Agency (AYNA), in order to provide quality and sustainable transport services to the population.

"APA-Economics" reports with reference to the information released by AYNA that on normal days, about 200 buses left Baku International Bus Terminal Complex (BBAK), on the mentioned dates, more than 1,200 additional buses were released.

This is the first record passenger traffic at the Baku International Bus Terminal Complex after the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

On March 18, 15 thousand 240 passengers were comfortably and safely delivered to their apartments by 473 flights.

The number of passengers was 3 times more than usual.

Also, such a high indicator was achieved as a result of effective measures to combat illegal passenger transportation.

The effective fight against illegal passenger transportation in our country contributes to passenger transportation and increases confidence in bus station services.

BBAK mobilized all its strength to justify this trust and provide quality service.

In total, 3 thousand 455 flights to the regions were carried out on the eve of the holiday and during the holidays, and 92 thousand 925 passengers were comfortably and safely delivered to their homes.

The intervals of the buses released on the routes and the compliance of the drivers with safety rules in passenger transportation were specially monitored.

Tickets were offered to passengers in advance and daily at the bus station ticket offices, as well as online through the https://biletim.az/ portal.

The demand of passengers transported from Baku to the regions and in the opposite direction has been fully met.
