Six days until the election.

Is everything ready for voting abroad?

"Our worry from last week has already passed. On Saturday, we got access to the machines. Already the main part of the machines have left, especially those that are to be delivered via courier companies to the USA, Canada and further destinations. I am confident that they will reach ", said the chairman of the working group "Elections" at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ivan Kondov, in the studio of "Bulgaria morning".

Machines traveling overland with partner vans will depart later.

Kondov assured that there was no cause for concern and that they would arrive by Wednesday at the latest.

And most of the paper ballots have already been sent.

245 machines are sent abroad, the guest specified.

"The most are in Turkey - 97, 36 in Germany, 35 in Great Britain. There is one machine in each section," Kondov told Bulgaria ON AIR.

"We have 534 employees of the state administration who will travel as representatives of the state, proposed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Another 203 employees from our diplomatic consular missions will complete the number to the 737 employees who should be in each section, as representatives of the state," emphasized Kondov.

He added that

there were enough candidates and those with experience were selected, although in some places there will be those without experience, but the CEC will conduct online training for all members of the CEC

.

"The cars are handed over to the SICs through a certain route. First, they are shaped as diplomatic cargo, then they are delivered to the diplomatic and consular missions, and then they are given to the SICs. On Saturday, they are handed over to the chairman and another member, or as many as they show up, of the SIC, and they have the obligation to take them to the premises, seal it and take care that the security of the machines is ensured", explained Kondov.

He noted that

there are several mistakes that will be repeated from the last elections and he gave as an example the fact that parties have the right to appoint their representatives as members of the SIK, which disappoints Bulgarians abroad because they take away their opportunity to be members of the SI

K.

Kondov gave guidelines on how Bulgarians should vote abroad: "They should go with a personal document - an identity card, a passport or a certificate under Article 263 that they have submitted documents for a passport. Such certificates are issued by our diplomatic consular missions, they have a photo ".

"Abroad, the law does not provide for video surveillance, for which we are very grateful, as this would have terribly complicated the organization process," explained

Kondov and added that only in Bahrain there were known problems with opening a section and there will not be one.

"There are many distant ones - there are 5 sections in Australia, two sections in New Zealand, Vancouver, Seattle, Sao Paulo, Singapore. In Tokyo and Osaka are the most distant sections," Kondov pointed out.
