In Russia, on March 26, the plane had to interrupt its flight and make an emergency landing.

It is noted that the plane of the airline "Azimut" could not fly to Moscow from Nizhny Novgorod.

The plane gave a distress signal at an altitude of just over 3,000 meters above the city.

"The liner immediately began to turn around to return to the airport of departure. In total, the Sukhoi Superjet 100 spent about 20 minutes in flight and landed safely. It was officially reported that the plane of the Azimut airline company was flying without passengers, there were only five crew members on board. Reasons the plane incident is not reported," the message reads.

The SSJ100 is equipped with only previously produced engines, because the PowerJet company stopped producing them after the invasion of Ukraine.

Currently, Russia is working on the creation of an engine that is supposed to be installed on the Superjet New, which should become an import-substitute modification of the Superjet 100.
