The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, was forced to refuse a chocolate bar offered to him by the British TV presenter and traveler Edward Michael Grylls.

And all this - because of the risk of murder.

This is reported by The Telegraph.

The media clarifies that Grylls offered a piece of chocolate to the Ukrainian president during a personal meeting to improve relations.

The TV presenter came to Ukraine to shoot a documentary in November 2022.

However, the president's bodyguard opposed such a gesture at the time.

They decided there that the 48-year-old Briton could poison Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

"The security service took away the chocolate offered to him by Zelensky Grylls due to fears that he might try to poison the Ukrainian president," the article states.

According to The Telegraph, the TV presenter took such caution with understanding.

It will be recalled that Oleksiy Danilov, the Secretary of the National Security Council, stated that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, five attempts have been made to kill the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

Danilov specified that all attempts to kill the head of state were at the end of February and the beginning of March 2022.
