Guwahati:

China did not participate in the secret meeting of the G20 held in India on Sunday.

The meeting was held over the weekend in Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh, a northeastern state.

China claims about this that it is a part of Tibet.

India has always been rejecting such claims of China.

Arunachal is an integral part of India.

Many of the delegates participated in dozens of events planned across the country ahead of the G20 summit in Delhi in September.

However, it is not clear whether China has officially lodged a protest with India regarding the meeting.

Neither the Ministry of External Affairs nor China has said anything on Sunday's meeting.

Weekend meetings were declared confidential and media coverage was not permitted.

The meeting was organized by the Department of Science and Technology on the theme 'Research Innovation Initiative, Gathering'.
