Demonstrating communal harmony and brotherhood in Agra Central Jail, where Muslim prisoners are observing Navratri fast, Hindu prisoners are observing fast during Ramzan.

Chaitra Navratri, a nine-day festival of Hindus, symbolizes the victory of good over evil.

Navratri has started from 22nd March and on 30th March is the festival of Ram Navami.

At the same time, fasting has started from Friday 24 March.

Radha Krishna Mishra, deputy inspector general in-charge of Central Prison, said, "The Muslim prisoners are observing Navratri fast and are also participating in the bhajan program organized in the temple premises."

At the same time, Hindu prisoners are fasting.

Mishra said, "It is a good idea, where prisoners of both the religions are giving the message of Hindu-Muslim brotherhood."
