President Tsai Ing-wen attended the opening ceremony of the video exhibition and said that the former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is a good friend of Taiwan and hers.

This exhibition is of great significance, and I believe that everyone is as deeply moved as she is.

Through this exhibition, I can once again see the confident and firm demeanor of former Prime Minister Abe, which is very nostalgic.

The President pointed out that the former Prime Minister Abe said "don't let the people of Taiwan feel lonely" and expressed his support for Taiwan with actions many times.

In solidarity with Taiwan, Abe once shared a photo of himself holding a Taiwanese pineapple and showing a warm smile.

This is a picture that impressed many people in Taiwan.

The President stated that the former Prime Minister Abe has always cared about Taiwan after leaving office, and has repeatedly called on the international community to pay attention to the importance of stability in the Taiwan Strait.

His friendship and devotion to Taiwan laid an important foundation for the development of Taiwan-Japan relations.

She would like to take this opportunity to once again thank former Prime Minister Abe for his contribution.

The President pointed out that in the face of today's changing international situation, the "free and open Indo-Pacific concept" pioneered by former Prime Minister Abe has become a common strategic goal of the international democratic camp.

In this exhibition, there are many photos of former Prime Minister Abe participating in important international conferences, recording his figure of adhering to his ideas and going all out to safeguard democracy, freedom, and human rights in the world.

The president said that she would like to especially thank all relevant units for organizing this exhibition with all their heart.

We have seen that people from all walks of life in Taiwan and Japan have used various methods to commemorate former Prime Minister Abe, and continue to promote the legacy of "Taiwan-Japan friendship."

We expect that Taiwan and Japan will continue to deepen cooperation in various fields and establish a closer partnership, so that the flame of "Taiwan-Japan friendship" can continue and continue to warm the hearts of the people of Taiwan and Japan.

Tian Hongmao, chairman of the National Policy Institute, emphasized in his speech that the National Policy Institute invited Abe to give a live speech on December 1, 2021. When analyzing the current international situation, Abe said in clear words, "Taiwan has something to do, and Japan has something to do, which means that the Japan-US security alliance has something to do." "Tightly tie Taiwan's national security to Japan, and even the US-Japan alliance.

When Taiwan faced severe strategic security challenges, Abe stood up with his political height and influence and stood unequivocally on Taiwan's side.

The "Shinzo Abe Commemorative Film Festival" opened on the 27th, and visitors took photos with Abe's portrait with palms of "Go Taiwan".
