Cambodian builder Chrach Peu built his house in the shape of a private plane.

And this despite the fact that he himself has never taken to the air, writes yahoo.com.

Peu spent his savings of $20,000 to build a concrete "airplane" with wings, tail, landing gear and engines near the city of Siem Reap, at the gates of the famous Angkor Wat temple complex.

The 43-year-old father of three said he spent almost a year building it with money he had been saving for more than 30 years.

"This is my dream since I was young, so I am happy that I was able to achieve my goal," he said.

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom house rises on six-meter columns above a rice field.

He said he designed it after watching private jet videos on the Web.

The builder charges people from 50 cents to $1 to visit and take selfies near the building.

The man also admitted that he dreams of flying for real one day: "When I have money and I know where I want to go, I will take a plane there."

It will be recalled that

the passenger of the plane replaced the pilot

, who became ill.

The incident happened on a flight from Las Vegas to Columbus.
