In Great Britain, a house caught fire due to a playful cat.

The woman decided to start cleaning and lit a candle, which the animal accidentally knocked over.

The incident happened in the city of Bootle.

Tash Lyall said that on Saturday she was doing her usual things: cleaning the house and decided to light a candle.

"I went downstairs to make coffee and about ten minutes later I heard my partner calling me. The whole upstairs was full of smoke," the woman recalls.

Tash, who has two cats, believes that one of the animals knocked over the candle.

She said that the fire spread very quickly.

The woman managed to run out of the house, taking the cats with her.

The woman says that she was very ashamed in front of the neighbors, because such carelessness caused the fire, but people helped her until the rescuers arrived.

Firefighters later extinguished the fire, but the house was heavily damaged.

Now the victim's friends are raising money to help her rebuild her home.
