In India, a 9-year-old girl looks like she is three years old.

Due to a rare disease, the child weighs only 8 kilograms, and her height is 60 kilograms.

9-year-old Komal stopped growing at the age of 3.

Relatives took the girl to a doctor, who said that she has thalassemia, a blood disease caused by insufficient production of the hemoglobin protein by the body.

Now her height is only 60 cm, and her weight is only 8 kg.

Because of this, she is often mistaken for a three-year-old.

Komal is so small that she could not go to school until she was eight years old.

Thalassemia is a disease that requires specific treatment.

Now the girl has to have a blood transfusion every 28 days.

The family notes that it is not always in their pocket, and therefore blood transfusions are given to the girl less often.
