Josephine Mikhalyuk became a donor in 1965, when she was 22 years old.

For the entire time, she donated 203 units of blood.

A unit of blood is approximately 470 ml.

So, she donated about 95 liters.

According to the woman, her sister persuaded her to donate blood for the first time.

"I decided to join her and that was the beginning," Josephine shared.

Her blood type (I+) is in demand.

Mikhalyuk is pleased with the thought that her blood helps other people: "I feel that I have something to give. I can share it with people who need it."

As a reminder, a new virtual reality simulation in Australia gives people the opportunity to experience what it's like to die.
