Kiev expects Europe to tighten sanctions against Moscow after Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus and is demanding additional weapons to carry out a counter-offensive operation.

According to APA, this was said by the adviser to the chief of staff of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podoliak on the air of the French LCI TV channel on Sunday.

"It is necessary to increase Ukraine's military potential for a counter-attack and strengthen sanctions against Russia," he said, calling for the imposition of sanctions against Rosatom in response to the decision of the Russian leadership.
