Former US President Donald Trump said he would end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours after returning to the White House.

APA reports that Trump, who plans to participate in the new presidential race, said this at his first campaign rally in Texas.

According to Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin began gathering troops on the borders of Ukraine shortly after Joe Biden took office as US President.

Trump also accused the current White House administration of not even trying to negotiate with President Putin.

At the same time, Trump is sure that the current government began to actively persecute him after he "promised to end the war in Ukraine."

The politician expressed confidence that he will be able to stop the war as soon as he returns to the presidency.

"I'm going to have a solution very quickly... I'm going to have a deal within 24 hours. I'm the only candidate who can stand before you today and make that promise," Trump said.
