This is reported by Stiripesurse.

"The emergency crew that arrived at the scene initially managed to stabilize her on the train platform and on the way to the hospital, but she later died as a result of a cardiorespiratory arrest that occurred at the hospital," national rail operator CFR Calatori said.

As noted, during the work on connecting the locomotive to the train Regio 7576, which was supposed to go to Marashesti, the locomotive crashed into the first car, as a result of which it rolled back about 80 meters.

As a result of the impact, four people were injured: a mechanic, a train driver, a train driver and a passenger.

The locomotive and train car were also damaged.

The railway police said that the accident occurred due to a malfunction of the locomotive's braking system.

This is the second serious accident on Romania's railways in less than two weeks.

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Sorin Grindeanu, expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased conductor, and he also ordered CFR Calatori to urgently start a technical inspection of the rolling stock.

"As Minister of Transport, I have ordered a number of measures to be taken to improve the safety of passengers as well as CFR Calatori staff. I also want the technical standards in the railway system to be always maintained at the best possible parameters so that such tragedies do not recur," said the minister.
