The armed forces of Ukraine were able to stabilize the situation in the Bakhmut area.

At the same time, heavy fighting continues in the Lymansk-Kupyansk direction.

Serhii Cherevaty, the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this on the air of the telethon.

According to him, the situation in Bakhmut is difficult, but it has been stabilized.

"Yesterday there were 18 assaults on the entire Bakhmut front, today there were 17. Before that there were from 35 to 50 and more. However, this requires more detailed verification and analysis. Perhaps this is the enemy's maneuvering with their reserves. So far, the fire is as dense in the Bakhmut direction - there were 268 shellings in total," Cherevaty said.

He also noted that the Ukrainian military destroyed a tank, several artillery units, two drones, a company command and observation post and 10 enemy ammunition field depots in a day.

Meanwhile, ISW believes that the offensive of the Russian invaders in 

is reaching its climax.

To prevent this, the regular army of the Russian Federation can intervene in the offensive actions of the mercenaries of the "Wagner" PMC in the Bakhmut direction.
