Tunisian President Kais Said has stepped up crackdowns on undocumented migrants from other African countries.

This caused a massive wave of migrants to Europe.

So, in the last few days, several boats with migrants fleeing to Italy have sunk near the coast of Tunisia.

According to Western journalists, over the past four days, five boats with migrants have sunk

near the southern city of Sfax in Tunisia.

It is the main departure point for migrants.

At least 19 migrants from Africa died

on one of the boats alone .

67 people are missing. 

As the coast guard of Tunisia clarified, the coast guard stopped about 80 more boats.

They were sailing to Italy.

More than 3,000 people, mainly from sub-Saharan African countries, were detained.

It will be recalled that on Sunday, February 26, a boat with hundreds of migrants crashed against rocks in the south of the country during a storm.

According to official data, at least 65 people died.

Rescuers said that most of the migrants came from Afghanistan, and there were also citizens of Pakistan, Iran, Somalia and Syria on board.
