This Sunday marks a historic day for Cuban democracy.

More than eight million Cubans are summoned to the polls to elect the 470 deputies to the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament).

Those who are elected will be in charge of electing the President and Vice President of the Republic and continue with the legislative development of the Constitution.

This is an act of popular sovereignty and citizen participation that reflects the commitment of Cubans to the Revolution.

The election process will take place in 12,427 constituencies.

23,648 schools have been created (250 of them special) and more than 200,000 authorities will be involved (62,000 constituencies and more than 118,000 tables).

The polling stations have working hours from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. However, polling stations in seven provinces have been authorized to open their doors before 7:00 a.m. to facilitate voting for voters who live in remote areas or difficult to access.

Candidates must obtain more than 50% of the valid votes cast to be elected as deputies to the National Assembly of People's Power.

The candidates are representatives of the people, elected by and for the people.

We invite you to exercise your right to vote this Sunday and be part of this historic moment.

Your vote is your voice, your future.

Your vote is Cuba.
