Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger believes that the second cold war could be more dangerous than the first.

APA reports that he said this in an interview with the Spanish newspaper "El Mundo" on Saturday evening.

Asked whether the second cold war was potentially more dangerous than the first, Kissinger answered in the affirmative.

According to him, it could start between the US and China.

He explained that these countries have comparable financial resources.

He noted that this was not the case during the first cold war.

The former US secretary of state believes that "waiting for China's westernization" is no longer a plausible strategy.
