[Reporter Chen Xinyu/Taipei Report] It's snowing on Yushan Mountain!

The highest peak in Taiwan has the latest snowfall this year. According to observations by the Central Meteorological Bureau, ice beads began to fall on Yushan Mountain at 6:40 am today (26th), and it began to snow at 7:05 for 10 minutes.

Chen Yiliang, deputy director of the Forecast Center of the Central Meteorological Administration, said a few days ago that Yushan’s average winter climate this year is 3.03 degrees, setting the third highest record in history, and 2.9 degrees higher than the climate average, second only to the “warmest” 1949 with 4.2 degrees, 4.0 degrees in 2019.

And the third-warmest record on record also affected snowfall performance.

The Central Meteorological Administration recently pointed out that Yushan has snowfall every year in the observation history, and the latest snowfall record before this year was January 21.

The Meteorological Bureau pointed out that due to the influence of the northeast monsoon and the cloudy and rainy area in South China, the weather in the north and northeast is cooler; there are short-term showers or thunderstorms in the north of Tainan, the eastern half and the southern mountainous area, and there are also local short-term showers in the southern area.
