On the morning of the 26th, Foreign Minister Wu Zhaoxie (see photo) announced the severance of diplomatic relations with Honduras.

The Central News Agency exclusively obtained the "extortion letter" of more than 2 billion US dollars from Foreign Minister Hong to Wu Zhaoxie. The signature date was March 7, but when Taiwan received it, it was March 13. The desire to establish diplomatic relations with China obviously leaves Taiwan with no time to respond.

[Central News Agency] Honduras broke off diplomatic relations with Taiwan. The Central News Agency exclusively obtained the "extortion letter" of more than 2 billion US dollars from Hong's Foreign Minister to Foreign Minister Wu Zhaoxie. The signature date was March 7, but Taiwan received it on March 13. On the 14th of the next day, Hongguo President Kawchu tweeted that he wanted to establish diplomatic relations with China. This obviously left Taiwan with no time to respond, and the political manipulation was very deep.

This letter was mailed to Joseph Wu by Honduran Foreign Minister Eduardo Enrique Reina in a paper letter. The letter addressed him as "friend (amigo)" and mentioned three cooperation projects that Hongguo wanted to promote. Including: 1. The budget for building a hospital (specialist, trauma surgery or emergency department) is estimated to be 90 million US dollars, and it will be implemented as a "special cooperation project", that is, it is outside the 4-year cooperation framework between the Taihong government.

2. Build a dam with a construction cost of 350 million US dollars. Hongfang believes that this construction project can not only become an indicator of Taiwan's cooperation with Hongguo, but also help promote clean energy and guide energy policies away from thermal power generation.

3. To implement the "Debt Relief Plan", Hongguo needs the help of allies such as Taiwan to undertake the 2 billion US dollars of creditor's rights from private institutions with preferential low-interest loans.

Leiner said in the letter that the current Hongguo government is working hard to face many challenges in foreign affairs to make up for the huge damage caused by the dictatorship's destruction of democratic governance over the past 10 years and the country's power by international criminal organizations, drug lords and corrupt people.

Leiner also emphasized that he is grateful for Taiwan's support in the fields of economy, trade and finance. In view of the factors disclosed above, Hongfang believes that Taiwan's cooperation projects should be consistent with Hongguo's goals and focus on the current challenges. It is recommended to "follow Hongfang's previous "Plan" to respond to various issues concerning the survival of Hongguo.

More importantly, the letter was signed on "March 7, 2023", and when Taiwan received it, it was already "March 13".

Xiomara Castro (Xiomara Castro, another translation: Castro) issued a statement on Twitter on March 14 local time, saying that she had instructed Foreign Minister Reina to handle the establishment of formal relations with China.
