An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 was registered in Chile, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported, as quoted by TASS.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 162 kilometers north of the city of Calama, which has a population of about 143,000, and at a depth of 80 kilometers.

So far, there are no reports of injured people or material damage, reports BTA.
