Russian dictator Vladimir Putin told why he went to occupied Mariupol.

The dictator cynically assured that he visited the city destroyed by the Russian army in order to "monitor the process of its restoration" and "feel the mood of the city's residents."

Russian propagandist mass media write about it.

"It's time to see, come and see on the example of Mariupol how the restoration work is going, what needs to be done additionally, what is a priority," Putin said.

He called the trip "working".

The dictator defiantly assured that he met local residents by chance, although in fact ordinary people are not allowed to meet Putin, only a pre-prepared crowd.

"This is a purely work trip, it was long overdue. Well, it was important with people... Frankly, it was an unexpected contact. I thought that these were workers standing, there were men in clothes. I wanted to talk to them like work continues. It turned out that these are local residents... As you saw, they invited me home, I saw how they live. It was important to feel the mood of the people. Perhaps this is the most important thing," Putin said cynically.

We will remind, on March 19, the Russian dictator Putin visited the occupied Mariupol.

In one of the videos of the dictator's visit, local residents can be heard shouting that "it's all lies and show off."

Russian human rights activist and journalist Mark Feigin does not exclude that the occupied territories were not visited by Putin, but by his double.

The former deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Ilya Ponomaryov, shares the same opinion.

The opposition presented a number of evidences that indicate that it was not the dictator himself.

According to Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Ukrainian People's Democratic Republic, there is no evidence that it was Putin who was in Mariupol.

According to expert Oleksandr Kovalenko, Putin's visit to Mariupol is the "last tour" of the dictator.

Political analyst Armen Chibukhchan believes that Putin visited the occupied Crimea and Mariupol out of desperation.
